I always wanted Tomoya to try to date either Kyou or Mei during this timeskip. As a way to move on and try to find romance again. What always surprised me is that after the timeskip after Nagisa's death, we never saw Sunohara or Mei after the timeskip (other than the epilogue on the "final episode"). We only saw Kyou (and I guess Fuko)

Idk man it seems to me (based on what I watched from the original to after story) that both Nagisa and Ushio have autoimmune disease, it vaguely explains the seasonal sickness, the harsh fevers and frailty of the body

It's not a "real" disease. Both Nagisa and Ushio suffers in the winter because that's when deforestation and construction goes on in the town according to the story. Their health is tied to the "health" of the town and to the happiness of the people in it. It's one of the supernatural elements of the story.
