My first job was a nightmare also. It was a decent size house and a huge driveway. The house wash went pretty good. The bad part was when I started the driveway. I thought for sure I’d be out of there in one day, oh how I was wrong. My only machine i had was a 2.5 gpm 3300 psi pressure washer with basic tips and a turbo nozzle. I literally spent 11 hours the first day and then another 10-11 hours the next day. I thought I was never going to finish that driveway. I basically worked for about 10 hours for free bc I bid pretty low to begin with to get the job. After that job I’d turn down driveways bc it wasn’t profitable at all. I’m now up to a 8.5 gpm 3500 psi washer and a 5.5 gpm 3000 psi washer and a 10 gpm air softwash system. If anyone reads this that’s starting out, I highly suggest at least starting out with a 4 gpm if your planning on doing much surface cleaning. It’s about impossible to be competitive and profitable running anything less for surface cleaning. It’s all about the gpm and not the pressure

Don’t worry so much on exact % of mix, you can downstream straight sh, depending on the size of your machine you will get .75-1.25% hitting the vinyl. I clean 95% with downstreaming, stucco need a little hotter mix most of the time, use 12v then. Downstreaming is way more efficient, you’ll like it….get you a remote downstreamer, saves a bunch of time.

@@TheBryceJohnston it’s to turn on/off your chemical. The jrod tip you use to soap should be the same tip to rinse, otherwise your rinsing with too much pressure. That’s why we use the remote downstream. Hope that helps, much success.

For the most part i downstream most house washes. 8.5 gpm and a drawer full of different tips. For the most part I use my M5 twist. And for the higher areas i use the Kyle Davis 4 and 8 gpm shooter tips. My fatboy 100 psi 8gpm 12v is same tips (4gpm shooter shoots a little farther or higher than anything else I have). This is what works for me. Sooo much faster for me and one hose that reaches 4++ stories at 8.5 gpm. 🌧⛈🌪🌪🌊🌊🌞

When quoting the commercial jobs are you figuring on price per ft or anticipated hours per job then multiplying times the amount you want per hour?
@YoungAmbitionYA
@YoungAmbitionYA 2 жыл бұрын
I try to quote as simple as I can. Alot of times I just look at commerical buildings and Invision a bunch of small house jobs inside that commercial job. If a building is the side of 3 residential and I charge 350 a residence than a bigger building might be $1050. If theres 8 buildings like that on a commercial campus you could quote 8000. Of course that's over simplified and theres lots of ways to quote. But that will get you paid and you can adjust to your local market as you need

Hi bro, you could setup that 12v system where you apply your SH from the hose and use your same hose line to rinse water, just need a diverter, saves pulling 2 hoses ...

I’ve got a question on setting up my trailer build. I was able to get a dual axle trailer and place a 300 gallon water tank on it. As well as three pressure washers on it. The rest of what I need to do terrifies me. I’ve been xjetting and I made $2200 in my first seven days. Yesterday was a $975 day so far out of I’ve been able to sell every job and I’m certainly not the $99 guy that everyone is taking about. Hey if you need to work and if you NEED be at those prices just to put food on your families table then you do whatever it is best for you. But please don’t leave money on the table.

Percentages with downstream is the same that you have in place. Just put a valve right after your proportioner that switched to your downstream injector. On your proportioner turn the water off and Sh wide open. You will get whatever proportion your downstream injector gets you. Mine gets me 1.6%. Then if I want to add some soap I just turn the valve up to 1 or 2. The only thing you need to add is a valve, injector and a bypass hose.

Holy smokes dude, you could do that in half the time xjetting. Try it, you’ll never use that 12v again besides for roofs. Xjetting is fast, you apply your chem and then rinse with a shooter tip, and you can run as much hose you want. We were running 350ft and were able to soft wash. It’s super efficient and fast

Hey! im familiar with downstreaming but im more interested in the lowest cost and maintenance free system for my business. im interested in making and saving money not being the fastest. pressure washers and metal arent meant for bleach and will have much more maintenance and repair over time. i mean one tip is like $50 and they corrode eventually. Just my opinion

@ironcitypowerwashing1630 2 жыл бұрын
@@YoungAmbitionYA xjetting and downstreaming are two totally different things. I agree with you on downstreaming, that’s why I don’t downstream anymore. Its just money 😂😆😂 You are definitely limited with Down-streaming to a little < 2% so, no roofs or brick really. Advantages are: you only need 1 hose to apply and rinse on house washes (get a remote cut off /bypass)… also provides a bit more reach, volume and some added pressure when needed; much quicker… it’s all in the tips ie. M5twist, shooter and even an Xjet for stronger rinse. ( Powerful Improvements - Joe Deery) I’d say for you, at least a 5.5 gpm PW but an 8 gpm machine is a beast. (you can buy or build a custom 6.5-7.5 gpm too) With a higher gpm PW, you can also run a bigger surface cleaning and move much quicker as well. Besides, If you need to apply hotter mix with the 12v, you’re still just pulling 2 hoses; as you do anyway. 😁 So, just house washes? Downstream… On roof, stucco, concrete or brick? use Both! FYI, ball valve rinsing is Awesome! 🤩🤪😱😂💯 … and quit dropping ya shit and breaking it ! 😂 “Love, Peace and Chicken Grease bro… it’s all Good!” 👍💯🙏
