The living room/dining room area gets rafters and perlins in this video. I use a gin pole and block and tackle with my dad's help to get the rafters up into place.

I'm between 7,800 and 8,000 miles distant. Although. Hugely impressed. I can not really express to what degree I respect the work. Very close to being done. Alone! Very well done. RSA.

At the 2 minute mark, I see you use two saws to make one cut. Why this method, instead of just using the larger saw once?

Well my big saw has such a small table it is really difficult if not impossible to get a square cut every time and I couldn't take that chance with the rafters. The small saws kerf gives the big saw something to follow. Thanks for watching.

I might have missed it in the video, but how is the lower end of the jin pole anchored to the floor?

I think I just screwed some blocks of wood around it. It was four years ago, my mind isn't what it once was. Thanks.
