Eric's talked about this before. Not only does he make his living from online content but he enjoys sharing new ideas. OTB takes a very distant second. If you type in the !gm command in his Twitch stream you'll get a good idea of his priorities.

I have a doubt. When we were looking at rook B2 position toward the end, what if rook takes B2, Knight takes B2 and if queen takes B2 then queen E8 is mate right?
@konodavideda5981
@konodavideda5981 11 ай бұрын
After move 26. ... Re8 you mentioned Rxb2 and you refused it saying:"queen takes", but if 27. Rxc2 Qxc2 don't you have 28. Qxe8 Rxe8 and 29. Nxc2 ? I still don't know what you would have had after Rxe3 tho

yup I was thinking so (btw the square is b2*), also after 27. Rxb2 Rxe3.... he could play 28. Rxb8+ Kf7 29. fxe3 ....3 pieces for the queen but yeah after this white's pawn structure would be a mess (keeping in mind that black still has a queen)

It might seem funny but you will most certainly regret playing a meme opening. As the other person just said, you should give it your best regard your chances of winning. Try studying some tricky line so you can make him think and stall the game while getting a drawish position. If its a simul you might get him in time trouble even though his endgame tecniche will probably destroy you. Just try surviving. I would do that. Im 1100sh rating but one of my favorite games was one that i drew a 2100. So go get him. Oh, and i wouldnt offer a draw even if it was equal position as it might look disrespectful but this is just me. If you want draw force it.

11:13 he says Rxb2 doesnt work because of Qxb2 but Rxb2 Qxb2 Qxe8 Rxe8 Nxb2 looks good for white. And if Rxb2 Rxe3 Rxb8 Kf7 fxe3 and white is better. What am i missing?

He mentioned in the end that after that exchange, black has Re2, skewering his knight on b2 and a2 pawn. He’d lose the pawn and the knights would struggle to stop blacks passed pawn from promoting

It's not that hard to play like this, when the moves are easy to find. Eric has said that black's moves are very natural. Basically, you give a grandmaster a clear position and they'll grind you.

Usually it's a combination of using the masters/lichess database and always having the top 5 engine lines showing during analysis. If the engine shows a move that looks crazy (even if it's 4th or 5th best), I'll look into it more deeply.
