Using a Pessoa Training Aid to lunge | How to fit | Sweeney Equestrian

As requested on Instagram, I have been asked quite a few time why I go on about using the pessoa so much, because I do love them. The reason being is I have produced 2 ponies now that I am sure wouldn't have turned into the ponies they are not without me being able to use the pessoa in order to build their muscle. Especially Ed.
Many people get confused by a Pessoa but I hope I have covered a few things in this Vlog including -

- How to store the Pessoa so it is easy to put back on
I probably use the pessoa once a week maybe twice on the odd occasion, for around 15 minutes and equally on both reins.

Look at the frame. He stretches down but not out. In the end it won't "lift his back muscles up." You'll get false roundness.

I know, it’s hard with him he’s so tense and built with such a dipped back, so this is worlds apart from where he was with relaxation being the aim of the game. He’s getting there slowly slowly 🙂
