I cannot thank you enough for these videos. I was honestly in tears because of the frustration I had over my homework, but I understand it now thanks to you!!!

This helped a ton! Very straight to the point. Thank you!

Excellent. Exactly what I needed.

The one labeled SX is the sample standard deviation and the one labeled sigmaX is the population standard deviation. So, yes, if you look at the value labeled SX it automatically uses the formula with n-1 and if you look at the value labeled sigmaX it automatically uses the formula with n.

will this function automatically cause the denominator to divide by n-1 or just n?

I know this video is older but if anyone knows the answer. When I get to the area you input L1 right below it also says FreqList: Is there something I should enter there? As my answers are repeatedly coming up different than hers even using her same data.

That's correct. The SX one is for a sample and the SigmaX one is for a population.

why does mine say invalid for L1 and the same exact numbers for L2?

I did everything you instructed, but my calculator is showing different values right now. Is my calculator in the wrong mode, or something?

I believe you get two standard deviations. One is standard deviation that shows sigma. The other is s(x) which would be sample standard deviation. Anybody correct me if im wrong.
