The weed wacker is used for everything around here now, there are tons of attachments you can get, water pump, chain saw, skill saw, pressure washer, brush hog. A machine worth having for sure.

This looked like a really whacked-out time and people don't realise the back-breaking work that goes into the everyday running on the farm. After all that hard work Joel,I'd be on that seat, wet or no:and headed back into the warm where there had better be some coffee waiting and a good hot meal.New shoes not provided.

we have and overuse weed whackers in the US. what i might comment about is the culling of rocks in the fields. long time ago, most of the farms in this are ( Appalachia) had rocky fields which were gradually culled for stone and rocks from the surface. those made walls on the boundary of the farms. easier to mow weeds when things are less rocky. you might get to a stage where you could pull a mower deck behind your QUAD and control weeds a bit easier than with the Stihl. but regardless of what you work with, farming and growing is just hard work that you have to love. thanks for the video btw.

Try running coathanger wire instead of nylon line.

Is the cordage a stihl option or a diy? If a diy, please show us!

Thanks for watching! You can find weed wacker cord at hardware stores or garden centers. It's standard for any heavy duty gas powered weed wacker. They can also take a metal blade attachment, which I don't use because of all the lava rocks.
