I did my first VeloFit last year - what a difference! Which reminds me… It’s about time to check it again!

That's awesome to hear! I was so impressed too..And good point...we do need to do a refit occasionally as our flexibility changes and we upgrade bikes.

Ha!! That’s great! Yes very blessed to be surrounded by all that majestic nature. Glad you appreciate the backdrop.

Thank you so much for this video. Seems like a good idea. However, it doesn't assess your cleat position etc. which is very important. I've been getting plantar fasciatis (3 times this year). Changed shoes, pedal system etc but I was still getting it. For someone like me a professional bike fit is the only way.

Agreed that cleat position is critical and a professional bike fit is the gold standard. But that's not accessible to everyone all the time. I do like MyVeloFit for touch ups or when I get a new bike, but know most of my basic fit details. And if someone has injury or a specific need that a personal bike fit might be necessary to address specific issues. Thanks for watching. Happy riding.

It's crazy isn't it? But it totally works!

It totally works, I have been using this for the past two years on my TT bike. :)

That’s awesome to hear! So far I’m a believer too! I’ve had many in person professional bike fits and My Velo Fit matches up to them!

Seems like some pretty large changes to the bike for such an experienced and elite level rider... Did you follow all the recommendations and did you keep riding it that way after all the changes?
@RebeccaRusch Жыл бұрын
I did make the changes because that bike had not been fit to me. I put it together with a few known details like saddle height. I have not had a bike fit in years and have been using measurements taken over 5 years ago. So I was excited to try My VeloFit to update my measurements.

@@RebeccaRusch That's great then. And everything feels good after using the tool I assume?

While this may be cool technology, it is not AI. Yeah, they claim "AI based algorithms", whatever that means, but they're essentially identifying and measuring angles. And yes, I know I'm being pedantic, but for people in the computer biz it's annoying that everything in the world, even vacuum cleaners, claim to be using AI these days.
@RebeccaRusch Жыл бұрын
Hey thanks for the clarification and distinction. For those of us who don’t work in the computer biz, it is hard to keep up and really understand it all.

Hey Matt! Thanks for your feedback. Our fit process is built around and relies upon computer vision and more specifically pose estimation which are pretty firmly accepted as being in the field of AI (though we're always happy to discuss nuances). We can appreciate that the recent popularity of AI with the proliferation of LLMs has dominated the public conversation (and a lot of marketing), but there is a lot of work being done in AI that doesn't resemble this but is still very much AI. Hope this helps clarify our position at least. Happy riding!

Why the put down on if AI/ML is utilized? I’m assuming it’s basically a AI/ML driven recommendation engine implementation. The app devs didn’t have to write bunch of recommendation loop logic based on set of reference data that will get the rider into the green zone, but use the reference data in ML to train and generate working model that can acceptably provide the recommendations. The hardest part of the task is getting good set of reference data.
