This is why I really hate AI art. Lack of human touch, there's no person putting their ideas and concepts out there. Designers like Kawanori, Ebikawa and Okawara have so many good used and unused ideaa and design, and the stuff they've learned is reflected in said work. Some ideas they didn't get to use in 1 piece of media can resurface differently in another piece of media, or they reuse concepts in a different way. AI is just soulless.

We don't need more jobs taken away from artists by a.i.

Or they could learn a skill with actual value to make a living. People need to grow tf up. I draw too but I do that shit for fun, I’m not stupid enough to think that’s gonna make for a stable living not to mention the effort you have to put into everything outside just drawing.

@DESTRAKONcustoms even professional artists struggle too. You CAN make a living doing art, but let's be honest you're gonna be drawing a lot of naked anime ladies... I've seen patreons that make over $100k a month like yeeeesh.

@@DESTRAKON Buddy I build tables for fun. Just because it is something simple to you does not mean that others will not value that as a worthy job to make ends meet. We would not be here in this comment section having this conversation, or on this channel to begin with if people were to "grow tf up" as you put it. I guarantee many of the things you, your family, or your friends enjoy would cease to exist were people to learn skills with "actual value" as you so plainly said. We should all be engineers, bankers, and farmers yes. Bye-bye non-fiction books and movies. music and sports.

@@TheOptinater that’s what I’m saying there isn’t much to be done, there’s competition out the ass and there’s only so much demand, what the table fucker here doesn’t get is that you’re gonna be stuck doing things like that if you need the money and that’s the reality any artist today has to face at some point, you need to lock down a niche or have a style and skill down. No ones saying you can’t do it but look at your living expenses, look at the art you’re making, and the clientele you’re getting if any relative to what you’re putting out and then see if it makes sense. Otherwise have fun working yourself to death like all those manga artists cause if you’re not already at a high level you better grind and master your craft and be on top of your business or just move onto other things. I hate to say it but anyone threatened by AI art was fucked well before it was even a thing. Industries change and grow based on how much moneys getting circulated in it and things WILL become easier and accessible. Having it as a side hustle sure I get that but to have that be your *primary* source of income is just stupid.

You should know that AI art is a form of plagiarism. It literally steal artworks and images done by real artists. It is a big debate right now in art industry.

Microsoft and GitHub have even been taken to court about it. Personally I like the idea of AI art for rough draft or concepts as using references for your own piece is nothing new and it would definitely help on getting an idea moving.

This is the next step in artwork and people need to calm down. You still see artists using pencils, pens, paint, markers etc. Even though photoshop is a thing. So artists have nothing to worry about.

That's a stupid argument. You're comparing tools to a system designed to do the work for you. Aside from pulling and scanning existing artwork the ai is doing all the "drawing". With ai all you do is feed it images, there's no actual thinking, drawing, redrawing, using different types of pens/pencils to achieve results.
@echs457

Disagree. photoshop still takes effort and knowhow, it is not a free pass so that point is void. All you need for an AI generator is a good computer scientist and a prompt. You did not make that artwork. the generator made it based off of predetermined commands and frames. It can scan countless images but it will only ever be as good as its code allows it to be. So the only artistry involved is the already published art that the generator scans for reference. And with wankerism such as yours, seems to me smaller time artists will have plenty to worry about.

@silverboltthewolfdog yes artists starting out will have a hard time, but they would have anyways. That's with a lot of things right now. But like I said, there are even artists that work for Marvel and DC that have struggled and this is before AI programs. Just calm down and see how this all plays out and stop freaking out about it.

@d3bugged80 not really a stupid argument, the point is photoshop can be faster than traditional media. I agree you need skills to use it, but a lot of people scan there work and adjust it as they see fit. A lot of people see the value in a commission. If I want artwork done by a specific artist, I'm paying that artist. If I wanted to use the AI to get it, I wasn't planning on paying in the first place.

I think people are forgetting that no matter how descriptive you can be it won't be perfect.But I can continue to coordinate with the artist and get what I want. The people who use this don't want to pay for art. People who pay for art see the value and will continue to do so. Calm down people.
