Using Aimtrak Light Guns on the AtGames Legends Gamer Pro (Legends Ultimate)

If you do purchase a Ultimarc Aimtrac Light Gun it will be very hard to mount it on the ALU because there is no place to mount because according to Andy it has to be 1" from the screen or it will not be accurate and it will be hard to calibrate. That is why Jay's was able to use on his TV because he was able to attach the sensor on the top of the TV. However you can mount the sensor on some kind of bracket and use double back tape to attach to the ALU on the screen just above it but it won't be very attractive.There are a couple of KZbin Chanels that show that they use a bracket to mount the sensor on the ALU just above the screen. Also I got mine to calibrate and works as it is designed I was able to put the sensor next to the screen by just temporary taping it in a fix position the sensor to hold it per Andy at Ultimarc. Andy suggested to drill holes and remove led from the casing for the Led to come thru the drilled holes. Just remember if you're not happy with the light gun it will be hard to return it because Andy is in London, England. Thank you Jay for the video.

do you have trouble starting certain games? I found that i could insert coins but not start games. Things like Turkey Shoot (i think that's what it was called). About half of the games in coinopsx 5 had this issue.

It's telling me no gun detected I'm using the same USB hub as your description?

I even tried to plug it directly into the puck as well and still won't detect it the gun is brand new

@@michaelharris8346 I just got 2 of them and set them up on the PC first and both say "Light Gun Device is not detected" Tried everything I can think of. You are not alone.

@@almightydada8264 same I got 2 and the extreme IR sensor puck says not detected no matter what but I can go into coinops and select a light gun game but only the trigger works cursor stays in top left corner and if I hold the 2 side buttons down for config the trigger stops working as well can't seem to find any help other than KZbin links that all say the exact same thing haha

Hi Jay I tried to calibrate my Aimtrak light gun on my ALU 1.1 and I can't get it to calibrate correctly I can get it to calibrate left and right but not the bottom one. Thanks

@@johntitus3899 Hi John I talk to Andy from Ultimarc and he said you have to get the sensor 1" from the screen and I don't know if your trying to mount it on top of the marquee but that was my problem. I got a shelf to mount the sensor 1' from the screen' on it and now calibrates fine. You can purchase a shelf from Uplay Arcade online. Make sure you connect your light gun in to the 2.0 usb or the one farthest to the left. it will not work correctly if you try to mount in the 3.0 usb. You can add a multi port usb hub that I purchase from Amazon in the 2.0 so you can add your light gun games and the light gun too. I added a power hub in the back behind the covers to have added USB ports for the bitpixel marquee and the sensor for the light gun. If you can give me your email I can send you pictures of my Atgames Legend Ultimate in details. My light gun works great! I hope this helps you out. If you're still having problems let me know. Hi Jay I'm a little disappointed in my Aimtrac light gun for my Atgames legend ultimate 1.1. I configured the buttons just like you and even calibrate Aimtrac light gun on my PC with success but I could not get it to calibrate on my Atgames legend ultimate. I even move the sensor closer to the screen move back a few feet and its hard to position it closer to the screen cause there is know place to position it. I position the sensor at the top just like you did. I can get it to calibrate left, right but not the bottom on the Atgames legend ultimate. I'm considering returning back Ultimarc even I have to pay for the return. Or I might keep it and just buy a mini pc with 63,000 games with light games on it. Thank you for the great video.

Seems the glare from the light is causing issues as well. The trigger only issue seems a silly miss by the hardware dev.

Good point on the glare. They do say on that screen that they recommend the trigger, but not necessarily that the trigger is your only option. Im going to reach out to AtGames for clarification and/or additional functionality to support the other buttons.
