Hi Joseph, Hope you're well. May I say that I think it's rediculus to seat a paraplegic wc user in the back seats of the plane for safety (evacuation) reasons. No problem. When you get to the gate that your plane is leaving from, let the attendant at the desk know that you need an aisle wheelchair (if you do, that is) and you shouldn't have any problems.

Hi Jennie Svensson there are washrooms in the front however they are not wheelchair accessible, at least the only w/c bathrooms I have seen are at the back, if there is a w/c BR at all. so for short haul flights the usually board people with kids & who may need assistance and aisle chairs on first and near the front of the plane, unless you request. For getting off the plane, you are usually last then all the isles are clear.

I always have been taken on the plane first. Always in the US though. I haven't been out of the country yet.

I actually requested the seat all the way in the back because it was the closest to the bathroom. On other flights, when there are bathrooms near the front, I sit in the front.

I actually chose to sit back there. It was the closest seat to the restroom. (There were emergency exits at the back of the plane, too.) Thanks for the comment. =)

He should have boarded before everyone else. The normal procedure is as follows: 1. Accessible boarding 2. Anyone with small children and 3. Everyone else THEY SCREWED UP.

Not always yes it is first but if they show up late, or not there when they doing all that. Most airlines do wait until the end in America. I do that stuff at Bush.

the aisle chairs are skinny to fit between the seats, I went on a flight when someone used one to get to their seat. that person was in one of the front seats with more room for transfer help

Yeesh, what a pain. Plus you seem to travel a lot. Do you find much difference between airlines or are they all pretty much the same? That looked like a 757 - did you take that trans-Atlantic or is there an airline that still puts out pillows and blankets on domestic flights?

i am flying soon, i cannot walk or use my hands or transfer at all....staff will have a really, really hard time lifting me and I'd rather not be manhandled. ..do they ever use hoists or anything? what will happen in my case?
