As someone who is a sucker for CIS lego, this is mind boggling good It looks nearly minifig scale

It’s around 1/48 which is a bit smaller but figures still look great displayed next to it! It’s also easy to replace the tiles on the side tracks and get some droids on them :)

I know. I hope ClassicBrix does a Dwarf Spider Droid (Another droid that could be described in those terms) next. Edit: I just realized that he HAS made a dwarf spider droid already. I was a little disappointed by the face looking closer to the existing Lego versions than the ones in the show, but I guess the actual eye placement would just be next-to-impossible at minifig semi-scale without just using decals? Maybe I'll just buy a plastic kit. He certainly hit the ball out of the park with the tank droid's goofy appearance, though!

@@classicbrix I also found your use of parts fascinating. It made me wonder how you would design an ARC-170's cannons. (I'm probably going to get the new set and modify it, but I don't just want to make the cannons larger, I'm trying to figure out how to capture their shape and detail.) I subscribed, by the way. Could see myself building that tank droid some day. Know how much the parts would cost? Hoping to see a Dwarf Spider Droid next. Edit: I just realized that you HAVE made a dwarf spider droid already. @ thank you! I had an arc-170 model I was working on but it’s quite dated now and I abandoned it a few years back. With the new set out, I might take another stab at it and utilize that spiffy wing folding mechanism Edit: my apologies I also did a quick check for the Snail Tank parts on Bricklink and came out to around $70-$80 CAD before shipping. With it being around 520 pieces, it isn’t a great price per piece ratio so I leave it up to you guys at the end of the day if it’s worth building

This is awesome! Can never have enough CIS MOCs XD Quick question: How kid friendly (or sturdy) are the mocs on your channel? I realize the spider droid's arms on the side are somewhat flimsy, but the rest of the build seems really solid! I have the same question for the V-Wing :D
@classicbrix8 күн бұрын
I’d say the foundation of all my builds are quite sturdy but there are a few detail elements only on 1 stud/bar connections. They are mainly built for display but you can easily pick them up and swoosh them around without having to worry about them falling apart as long as you know where to hold it! :)
@rodqa76708 күн бұрын
@classicbrix I see what you mean XD your V-Wing interests me most of all, and i will probably get it in the future since it seems to fit really well within the scale proposed by BAUFman, i just wanted to ask their stability since i really like when people interact with my displayed sets. Thanks for the quick reply and keep up the great work! :D

As much as it is very good id reccomend trying it back with the three wide track, i cant help but think it looks too skinny
@classicbrix8 күн бұрын
I tried that tread but the middle connection sticks way too far out for my frame. Although the track is thin, I think the distance of the eyes really works and I don’t want to make those features wider. Maybe I can rework the frame one day to include that extra depth from the tread while keeping everything else the same :)
