I mix up chemiclean in a dosing container and put in on a doser to dose a few mls per day when I see signs of it in my 125 and that takes care of it. It starts to reappear when I let the NO3/PO4 levels drop, for which I dose neophos and neonitro to bring back up. I'm working on the dosing calcualtions for the neophos/neonitro so I can be more consistent with maintaining the nutrient levels.

Travis....you need the Flipper Max Edge for the 300g....it's a pricey magnet...but man it makes cleaning big tanks soooo easy....I love it ...even though it really hurt paying that much for a magnet lol

Being that that chemi clean lowers the oxygen in the water. Did your ph take a huge beating? And also how long til it got back to normal numbers? Thanks

If you go to harbor freight they sell stainless steel dental picks....they work amazing for peeling nem foots off rock....ill flip the rock over so nem is upside down in water column and use one of these dental picks that has a dull edge... once its under a small part of foot you can wiggle the rest of foot off the rock....i do this frequently now when I sell nems...new technique i accidentally discovered bc i had these lil tool picks for cleaning frag plugs

Now does the microbubbles help ? Or thats just for the oxygen, tried chemiclean a few times and no luck ..cyano still . Glad it worked for you

Quick way to add oxygen as a just incase it was to drop

Air bubbles don't add any oxygen, just circulation..... Oxygen only enters the water at the surface where the pressure is way lower, circulation of the surface water is where the oxygen comes from (bubble goes to surface causing water to be drawn up to the surface where it can uptake oxygen if the water concentration is low enough). A pump moving water across the surface adds many many times more oxygen than bubbles.
