Using Collisions in Phaser 3 TileMaps

This video will show you how to set up collisions in your Tilemap and limiting the collisions to certain tiles. For example, you might want your player to not go through wall tiles, but not collide with floor tiles.

One question, im using isometric tiled generated with tiled and doesnt work fine, only colide when the player move from left to right and from up to down, but doesnt colide when it moves from right to left and down to up. With orthogonal tileset works fine. Any idea? Thank you.

Hey your videos have been helpful in solving some issues with a game im working on but i'm having an issue that i can't seem to find the solution to and was hoping you might be able to make a video on it. The issue i'm encountering is the one you mentioned in the video where it was colliding with your the block instead of just the outline of the cactus. For my game Im working on a sidescroller and I'm using an incline and i want the player to be able to move up and down the incline without running into the invisible blocks set by Tiled's default colliders. I've already edited the tilesets i used in the Collider editor but the changes arent being shown in the game even after exporting the new map to the Phaser 3 project. Any ideas? (Enjoying your content keep it up!) Sorry for the long comment! Thanks!

Sorry for the late reply and I'm not sure if this helps or not, but slopes don't work well with the arcade physics engine which is what I'm using for these videos. You might need to look at an alternative.

Nice vdo ! suppose we want to console.log("passed between the cactus") when the smiley character pass between the cactus , How can we do that ? I hope you got my query !

Hi. You can add a sprite with a collision with the alpha set really low to make it invisible and place it between the cactuses. Does that make sense?
