Thanks for this convention! we live in a world of fast elaborate creative content consumption with an added challenge of being so imaginative so you innovate on a frequency that is getting more and more demanding with varying formats and platforms. The issue with islamic content creation that has made many islamic actors struggle with is the same as happens in other "expert" fields, where the experts themselves are not able to properly transmit their expertise. A great example here is how ustad Nouman has helped overcome this handicap that has islamic scholars by properly approaching the great public, but still is just focused in those who already have embraced islam and that are actually seeking to increase and deepen in knowledge. So, yes, this is a great first step, but it is highly needed nowadays that we have much other content creators creating all kind of contents in all type of platforms and formats fo all kind of public, so we can fight the huge booming on unmoral content that is brainwashing the entire world with so wrong morals like Netflix does for instance

i think Nouman is right , see i watched Dr house astaghfiru lah! and ive watched "Resurrection: Ertuğrul" now this turkish drama is good i actualy saw a lot of turkish drama some of them was even worse than some hollywood movies in terms of romantic scenes but in Resurrection: Ertuğrul it was kinda clean the romatic dialogue between him and his wife seemed to mimic what some hadith of our prophet pbuh is teaching (like saying nice word to the wife playing together feeding her/him by hands , brushing each ohters hair ect) so it was realy cool to see that you dont need to make a kissing scene so the viewers know that they love each other , the fighting was decent, some of the effect and the script i mean it was overall good but it was a serie talking about the islamic history in turkey, like the whole show was about the ottoman empire and that is actualy repulsive to many people , i mean some might hear the idea or see the poster of the show and even dont give it a chance they will automaticaly assume it will be boring , let alone the non muslims ... and even though it was on netflix it still didnt reach a huge succes on that plateform (like only arabs and turkish ppl watched it lets be honest and btw im from morroco the show was a big succes here) but if we did a movie that is like Dr house or detective Monk that has nothing to do stereotype islamic teaching presentation or islamic lifestyle or islamic history and we put hidden islamic instruction and like present a nice entertaining movie that doesnt content any haram scene and have some of the islamic morals in it without having it too obvious that will be a real succes and not only muslims will watch it non muslim will watch it too , dont get it twisted they also get incomfortable if a filthy scene pops and they are watching the movie with their parent or siblings or kids so they realy try to find "family friendly" content and it became more rare than before these day so they end up watching lion king for the 20th time or watching some kids show from the 90s cause even kids show now have some +18 jokes hiden in there and the parent gets choked to hear them even if the kids didnt understand them... i think thats the right timing to provide for us muslim and for the non muslim that try to find family friendly shows some realy creative and entertaning content that could leave them thinkin about the morals that the movie give them (and let those morals be islamic) now if we start with those type of movies rather than having all bearded man and hijabi women talking about ramadan in a show it will have a bigger impact and it will initiate the international viewers to our content and then we will start presenting more and more islamic value and lifestyle in it or movie that talk about muslim problems ect thats how propaganda works ;) we need muslim propaganda... and as hassan said music movies and annimation have a great potential like imagine if we took control of a small portion of those and made some master peice in the 3 area it will not only be a mean of spreading our morals it will also provide halal entertainement content for our next generation like it will give them a good halal alternative

About Music , one very interesting Islamic Fact is that it shouldn't interfere with your Namaz ... Because it's all biological ... Music plays with our mood hormones and just like any drug it too has lasting effects sometimes ( not always) So , doing a musical Namaz isn't a spiritual idea ... But if one is stressed..Islam asks him to relax and come to the prayer mat with a peaceful mind . For some, the prayer mat itself is the most serene place but for some it's a place where alertness and mindfulness is required.... It's just one aspect...

Well you end up in the situation where there is no market and platform because of the prevalent opinions that music, films, series and other media contents are haram. And it is one thing to watch those things but it is another one to get your Rizq from it. I have a wild, in a good sense, imagination and I wish to be able to do something in it. But the only thought that many scholars say it is haram terrifies me even though I am not convinced of their opinion. It seems to me that majority opinion is that it is haram and so I am strongly procrastinating any of my steps in these fields. Just as example - there are people who even sayed that media projects like: The Message, Lion of the desert, Ertugrul, Osman, Alparslan and the Iranian series about Prophet Yusuf(AS) are haram both to watch and make. And by some I mean major scholars. So like what chance do the rest of us have if these projects whiches characters are Legends are Haram policed?

I don’t like where this is going. Trying to justify haram or make excuses to fool yourself is not right. Allah said in(75:14-15) “In fact, people will testify against their own souls, despite the excuses they come up with.” If they had stood with Allah, Allah would have stood with them. Allah also says 47:7 O believers! If you stand up for Allah, He will help you and make your steps firm. 47:8 As for the disbelievers, may they be doomed and may He render their deeds void. 47:9 That is because they detest what Allah has revealed, so He has rendered their deeds void. 47:10 Have they not travelled throughout the land to see what was the end of those before them? Allah annihilated them, and a similar fate awaits the disbelievers. 47:11 This is because Allah is the Patron of the believers while the disbelievers have no patron. Don’t Make Halal What Allah Made Haram. Sad to say Muslims playing with Allahs rules. May Allah guide us back to his Straight Path.

He time and time again stated he is not a Faqih or a Scholar, and when scholars and Fuqaha say it is Haram and bring evidences from the Quran and ahadith. Then everyone else whether he is a layman or a student of knowledge shouldn’t speak the opposite what the scholars speak. Because that’s clear cut miss guidance, only scholars should speak about matters that deal with fiqh. Also fatwa shopping online or in person, jumping around from one person to an another or one website to an another website is clear cut miss guidance. May Allah guide all of us and may he help us learn our religion from Sunni scholars of this religion who actually speak from the Quran and sunnah.

Secondly we may not be scholars but scholars are obliged to bring their evidence and explain why they are considering it as the evidence. And they also have to answer the question. We are not Christians to follow scholars dogmaticly. And with the music and images the arguments are dogmatic. And yes you are right only scholars can issue fatwa and fatwa shopping is wrong. But there are those who don't have 1 scholar whom they trust which is why they look at opinions of different scholars and choose the one that makes more sense according to the Qur'an, sunna and reality also.

I think movies and animation can be a powerfull tool for messaging, sure. But I'm also hearing this "muslims are behind on media and entertainment because we are limiting our creativity and don't copy what westerners are doing /(and because of budget)". If it was any other subject, this would have sounded so wrong. "I don't have that job I want because I limited myself to islam and refused to shave off my beard. I should resemble the westerners more and remove the islamic limitation to reach higher job positions." I think that this statemeny by itsself a limited way of thinking. Isn't copying actually the opposite of creativity? If you realy want to be creative you should start thinking like nobody else, and Why not create a complete new style of entertainment. Give entertainment a new meaning instead and not the other way around. Become the leader not a follower. Maybe im being unrealistic I don't know.

@@SamirKuraishi-vw2xe sure, they are professionals in their area and I respect each person for their good intentions, don't get me wrong. I didn't accuse anyone of anything. I just shared my opinion about creativity vs copying. I don't think there is difference of opinion when it comes to music. It is 100% haram. The devil is just trying to trick you into the realm of music while hiding behind 'good intentions'. Hiding behind good intentions is always devils first step. The prophet fell asleep twice before prophethood when he tried to attend a festival with music. Allah made him fall asleep before the festival even started, to block him from being present and hearing music. After the second time the prophet never tried to attend such gathering again, as he understood the sign of Allah. There is multiple hadith in wich the prophet forbids music instrumentals. There is another hadith in which he made a prophecy saying that there will come a time that part of my ummah will legalise alcohol consumption, zina and music instrumentals. Now imagine belonging to this group.. You know what's interesting? Zina, alcohol and music are being mentioned by the prophet in one breath. Since the begining of music, these other two subject were always part of it.

@@User123-l4j Sure, indeed most of music is awful. Because to succeed in it you need to fulfill desires of masses which are mostly awful. Yet there are some like Sami Yousuf and others that are from Muslim lands and sing about God, motherland, brotherhood and unity. Those can actually be beneficial. As for what you have explained about yourself then do as you consider best. Because it is better for you. I personally listen to music in languages I don't know, or without words or those that have descent meanings. Most of the English songs I just ignore. Once I understand the words it becomes boring because I genuinely despise those whos greatest desires and dreams are to Eat, Go to toilet, do Zina and sleep.
