You definitely can use scissors to cut a nice paper edge to mark against. I have done that many many times!!

Gold definitely makes everything better. I'm thinking acrylic paint drag. Or maybe smooshed on with a piece of saran wrap wadded up?! About 1/2 inch wide?! You know what I'm doing tomorrow...Thanks Lilly!!

Love these deckle-edge tips. Have the Fiskars scissors and somewhere in the craft room is a ruler like yours which I probably bought about 20 years ago from Stampin Up!, if I remember correctly. Thanks for reminding me about these tools which I have been neglecting.

I have been known to drag my sharpie next to the ruler edge to make a deckle line, but it does mark up your ruler edge. I think this way is better.
