Using Excel to Calculate NPV and IRR

Thanks, what may be off with my calculation? For the 1% interest rate for example, I have NPV of 2,323, and not the 2300 you have. I'm using "Compound Interest Factors table (with PW factor = 25.808) for i=1% and n=30years

Ok...I'm getting the same answer as you using the P/A compound interest factor! I suspect that I excluded the t=0 row when I selected the series of $400 payments, which puts the PV of the series off by 1 year. This is a mistake in the video!! Sorry for the confusion. I will "pin" this comment and reply to the top for everyone else!

Hello Sir. I believe the way you are calculating NPV in excel doesn't match the regular formula for PW calculation. You should not include the first row in the NPV formula. According to the arrangement of the data in the video you used NPV(rate, A3:A34) but it should be NPV(rate, A4:A34)+A3
