MATT, one thing to remember when you're having difficulty clearing COTC is to check the treasure menu. Some later levels have super boosted Aliens, so it's essential to activate the boosters.

Little meatshielding tip, use dual erasers and rover cat in its true form or use ramen with dual erasers. Don't just use manic eraser and manic Mohawk and who told you the STARRED ALIENS were relic enemies

Matt, I've learned for the Ch2 COTC and especially Ch3, you need to get treasures to complete the levels. So if you're stuck on a COTC level, you need to go back to the earlier levels are get the treasure and it makes it easier. Also, Andromeda is hell

Matt, what you refer to as relic is actually a starred alien. Relics come after you beat stories of legend, in uncanny legends. There you will see relic type enemies

MattShea if you can't one hit the Barriers they will automatically regenerate all lost hp which is why Barrier Breakers are needed especially for enemies like Ultra Baa Baa

Meatshielding with slower cats could help you a lot with these levels. Manic eraser is always a good choice, but using a slower meatshield in place of manic mohawk could do a lot more. Good replacements are little macho (don't use true form because of recharge time), catburger and Gato amigo. I know that restrictions stopped you from using normal eraser for meatshielding this time, but try to use both erasers whenever you can so your attackers don't die

Once you get near the end of chapter 2, you have to get gold anti starred alien treasures across both chapters, and for the 3rd chapter, keep getting gold treasures for every level that gets you power against anti alien when you can, just so you have a CHANCE to progress. Matt, you should try and get some Elemental Pixies the next time they're on in the Rare draws. Their evolved forms all have the Barrier Breaker and Warp Blocker abilities! And they are Ubers, so they're obviously pretty solid cats to have. Pretty sure having one or two of them would help you a lot with CotC and with starred aliens in general!

Quick tip: I highly, HIGHLY suggest getting every single anti-star alien treasure to 100% in both this chapter and the pervious. (if you haven't already) The star aliens are impossibly difficult if you do not have them so if you wanna make things easier on yourself, I suggest getting those. Also, if you haven't already, get rover cat's TF Catellite. he is a great strong-against alien meatshield immune to weaken, warp, and slowing.

Matt shea the enemies with the star on them are also alien which are able to warp your units and some have barriers while relic enemies inflict the curse effect and have dark green colors. Hope this help (Edit) you should go for all superior treasures for CotC.

Something that I haven't seen anybody else mention, use dual erasers instead of dual manics. Dual erasers can tank and stall most enemies and Mohawks are just a waste of money in this situation.
