I am not easily impressed. But Sifu Adam Chan impresses me in both Skill Level and Quality Of Character. As for me, I started studying Martial Arts about the age of 4. I won't get into why. But both Chinese Martial Arts and Japanese Martial Arts are a part of my Knowledge Base. My Chinese Ancestors also gave me a Chinese Name, it is Shen Tao Lung. And I really don't make a big deal about lineage because, just because your ' Grand Master ' was good, doesn't mean that you are. So I am confident in reccomending Sifu Adam Chan's Academy to people who want to learn.😊

This is a BIG part of CLC Bak Mei. Destroy the bridge, no chi sao. Best part of my fight game works really well against boxers and wrestlers. Only difference I see is "center line" theory. I would say CLC Bak Mei is focused on center of mass/line (center line is the axis of balance not necessarily the center of the body as viewed from the front) so you don't stand square with the opponents you always move to angle. VERY similar to the Mike Tyson peekaboo style.

That is essentially the same centerline concept, wing chun guys tend to focus on the front for beginners but the angle to center of mass is the same

hamerfist attacks always make me miss my karambit (most attackes look to me like they are not made for empty hands)

Original self-defense was with weapons. Hence Adam's approach. Correct me if i'm wrong..

Great observation. CLC BAK MEI is based on the Tonfa (I don't know the Chinese name, it's a hakka style). The weapon naturally creates the right type of force and accuracy. You "think" empty hand is different than the knife because the knife does the work, so you "think" you need to generate and use force differently to gain power. WRONG. The knife "tells you" precisely where to strike and the exact force you need at that point and in what way to achieve the goal. Think of it this way, you may not know how to do a 1 inch punch but you intuitively know how to do a 1 inch stab because you know how to make the knife penetrate but not the fist, and actually it's the same method with both.

Is Hakka same as leopard fist ?
