Thank you Manitoba Hydro for the HOW THEY DO THAT video - I live in Jefferson County, WV where we all thought our foundations were gonna crack, the BOOM was so deafening and such a vacuum squeeze sound barrier feeling on hour houses we've experienced from Dominion. Your video is extremely helpful to our locals - just wish Dominion would have contacted us - we have about 600 homes in the area of the newly installed transmission towers that replaced the tiny ones. We really believed it was dynamite. Homeowner dogs have gone crazy, dishes rattling and pictures falling off walls - we never expected or knew about this implosive splicing - wish you had a lesson for us in advance so we could have prepared. THANK YOU MANITOBA HYDRO - by the way Dominion told me to watch your video to learn - and learn I did!

That was very interesting! Fun new uses for explosives, and nobody died! Thanks for sharing.

its like using small butt splices for automotive wiring, accept scaled up so large you have to use explosives to do it instead of using a pair of crimpers

That's very cool, I'm going to see if I can find a video of the process filmed up close in high speed.
