Great video, really enjoyed seeing the mosques, the were really beautiful. It is amazing that they were able to build something like that so many years ago. Enjoyed seeing inside the mall also. The shop owners were so friendly. I'm sure it helps walking around with your camera filming to attract attention.

I laughed so hard when they were with the carpet man who I saw on other vlogs 😂. For clarification; Istanbul transportation system uses one single card called Istanbul Card. Available basically at all machines, vendors and buffets. You only have to top up. You can use it in Metro, Tram, Bus, Ferry etc. And, almost all machines have option for English language.

We struggled to get a card, and as much as we tried, we couldn't find an English option. But once we got help getting a card, moving around the city was so easy and convenient.🙂🙂

Hey Karen 🇿🇦😁👋it's so nice to hear from a fellow Saffa, and we are so glad you are enjoying the videos 😀 We didn't use an app. I am actually not sure if there is one, but we went online and downloaded a train map that shows all the train/tram stops in Istanbul. With the ferries, we only took one, and we just went and asked the timing of those on the day. For the busses we only used these to get from one town to the next, they have busses leaving every hour most times and we used Metro and Pamakkale Bus Companies. Again, the bus station will know actual timings better depending on where you are going 🙂 We hope you have a lovely time in Istanbul and love it there just as much as we did!😀

Very informative as a friend and I are leaving in 3 weeks time for Turkiye .I would like to know if one should purchase a Turkish sim card on arrival,if using an uber or another app for transport. Hi Benita😁 we always find it worth it to get a sim at the airport. But but Turkcell and get the cheapest plans👍 it's cheaper to top up the sim card in the city😁 there is also cheap busses from the airport to all parts of istanbul, so i suggest going there and figuring out which one is best for where you going to as the taxi's are expensive😁 Also once you in Istanbul, use the Train, they super cheap and basically go everywhere you would want to do😁

You think you are very smart, but you are not, you can choose all languages on the ticket machine, it would be more useful for you if you read the options there wisely, rather than clicking here and there stupidly, it writes English at every metro stop and airports, if you open your eyes well, you would see them too.

Hi Deniz, before you add your comment, you should probably know all the facts. Although other machines have language options, the machine we used did not.Locals tried to help us and stated their was no language option on the machine. We just did not film that interaction. Please understand that this is the first time we are in Turkey and do not know how things work, especially when everything is in Turkish. So, what may seem common for you is not common for a tourist! Great to know you have a sense of humour though!
