Yellow and white hookup is my go too. Awesome video! Sick setup.

Wow, those are some really nice sized trout! 👌 They didn't have left hand retrieve baitcasting reels when I was younger. 😆 Keep making fishing videos, they are AWESOME.

Thanks Keith! Haha yeah I remember back in the early 2000s my first baitcaster for Bass was a right hand retrieve and I hated it. I’m glad times have changed

Always enjoy the discipline in your technique. Very effective. You'd kill it out here in Florida. Another great video!

Thanks for the kind comment, I’ve actually always wanted to catch a peacock bass. If I ever visit, that’ll be first on my list!

Subscribed. Saw the jig technique/skills with my own eyes yesterday at Fin & Feather. And, these SoCal fishing videos are helpful and well done. Fish on Kim!

Bob! It was a pleasure meeting and fishing with you! I have never fished with anyone who helped me net my fish, hold my fish while I unhook it and help me put it on a stringer. I appreciate your kindness. Thanks again for your help and welcome to my channel! 😊

Good to see another socal bfs angler on KZbin! Gotta love the CU Double. It’s pretty much a BFS budget classic rod now. Very nice alphas air as well! If you ever want to “level it up” a bit consider looking for a clicking drag kit. I’m not super familiar with the JDM Daiwa world but I’m hoping to get into some of the newer stuff they will be releasing or potentially some of the reels they released last year. Anyhow, keep on keepin on and cheers! Nice trout btw! 🙌🙌🙌

Yeah! I was a bit weary at first with the CU double but bc it was on the cheaper side, I didn’t mind experimenting with it. I already have a new rod in mind but I’m gonna give this one a go for a bit before committing to something more expensive. I actually love the silent drag but if I ever change my mind, I’ll look into a drag clicker! I appreciate you stopping by!! Hope to link up with more bfs users 🙂

Hi Kimberly, great video. I'm Sean from Boston. Trout are so beautiful and put up a nice fight when hooked. What state is Lake Palmdale in? If you can't make a living fishing, may I suggest becoming a hand model. Those are perfect and beautiful hands you have!

I seen your other videos you use 4lbs izzorline can u still get good casting with a spinning reel for jigging
@itskimmayy12 Жыл бұрын
Using a (ultralight) spinning reel won’t hinder your ability to toss a jig. Keep in mind that the lighter lb test you use, the further you’ll be able to toss a jig out.
@markskibo5159 Жыл бұрын
I guess the $1000 fee is worth it there ? Wouldn't you get longer casts with a spinner ?
@itskimmayy12 Жыл бұрын
I would say it's worth it. the membership price also drops after the first year. I personally cast further with a baitcaster than a spinning reel (as long as i dont birdsnest) haha
@markskibo5159 Жыл бұрын
Me too, BUT birdsnest gets me MOST of the time on light tackle. Tight Lines !!!@@itskimmayy12
