what is the rpm of the gyro and moment of inertia of it?

Nice to know. I am also developing real time LPV controller for 4 axis-CMG to archive desire orientation of objects.

Would a fixed spinning gyroscope on a bike assist in any way? Would it make it more difficult to fall if the tires loose the grip if it is ice on the road?

Hey!! I m interested in doing a similar project for my final year project. We are planning to stabilize the two wheeler even with the rider on it at zero velocity(at rest). Can you give me suggestions for where to start and points to be remembered while doing this project? Thank You

Nice!! BTW How much torque this thing can generate for balancing the bicycle? I mean can a human ride this thing without balancing like a normal rider?

Also you'd need a 6 way actuation unit if it does work in zero g.

Does the cycle move because of gyroscope?
@bakshivishal8952 жыл бұрын
NO, The cycle gets balanced due to gyroscopic effect created by the motor.

You guys suck I had this idea along time ago, should've stayed in college. You can make a pole do the michael jackson, but i wonder what the effects of zero g would have on this device, could you orientate your self anyway you want to or would it not work, if it does, you wouldn't need to expend fuel to change your orientation, it could be used purely for purpoltion.

perhaps.. you should also stay in college reading Classical Physics, no offense.

The Desert Rat No mocking, sir. It would be lengthy to explain this in text. But the physics still apply in space, gyroscopic effect would happen in Zero-g. You can search youtube video "Gyroscopes in Space (1973)" in the mean time
