Not sure why this 1 yr old video popped up but I am thrilled! I have this stamp set from a SSS card kit and did very little with it. New ideas👍

I like how you showed that it takes layering to build such a beautiful background. I used to look at things like this and then try to make it by painting on all the things at once! It was definitely a learning curve, but once I slowed down and was more deliberate in what I was trying to create, it was like a lightbulb going off. I learn something every time I watch one of your videos, thank you for teaching us what you know.

Dear Kristina hi! I love how you layered both distress oxides and inks on this card, the background turned out amazing!💖💖💖💖💖 Thank you also for sharing the technique with the double layered vellum, i had the same problem with a card once but never thought of using 2 layers of vellum! 🤗🤗🤗🤗

lol. I got brain freeze when i walked into an art store and saw all these random inks that I had no clue what to do with. Thank you for showing me what Oxide inks are for. This is gorgeous and know i want to try it!

Hi Kristina! I think this background turned out very interesting. When you started out with the Oxide inks in the white it was very subtle and much more vibrant with the distress inks. It would have been interesting to make the same card using like a grey or black cardstock. This card is beautiful none the less! Thank you for sharing your amazing knowledge with us, Kristina. It’s appreciated. ~ katz baugh p.s. I use my husbands iPad to watch KZbin.

That was an interesting exercise with the Distress Inks! Actually I loved the dynamics of the original Oxide piece before you added the original inks on top. That original piece was full of dynamics, even though it was muted...it just spoke to me! Thanks for experimenting...great video!

Lovely card. I like how you glued two pieces of vellum using Connect glue from Gina K, then using the Xyron Sticker Maker to glue the sentiment to the background.

I've only just recently started to use the Distress inks, in the mini pads, because of the price. Now all I see are the Oxides, and it irritates me that the Oxides are being pushed to the front, at the expense of all the other inks available. I can't simply chop and change to suit the big companies, and I'm losing any desire to play with the stuff I have.

Hi Pippa. I do when I can find them, although I'm happy to watch them all, in the hope of learning something. I wish that the manufacturers would realise that we aren't made of money, though!
