Rainbow trout is usually what we catch here in the Colorado rivers & lakes! They are native trout here! Up to 13lbs. :) great video!!

Nice fish. Come to Lake Cumberland in KY. Catch stripers 3x that size. I am talking 30 lbs to 40 lbs. Get a guide. I do it from a kayak.

In Arkansas and Oklahoma (Where I'm from) you can not use any kind of Game Fish for bait. I am also praying for Meghan, sorry if spelled wrong, that is how I spell my nieces name..

The couple ones u caught are hybrids an really don't count them as real stripers there just a half breed of a striper def different profile an size different is way bigger when there just straight striper not hybrid the ones that are pure stripers are the ones that are longer an an hybrid have wider body's up an down wise an I know this because I live near striper central North jersey an none of the stripers I caught look like those with broken stripes

Hybrids are mules (can't spawn and reproduce in the wild). These fish in Lanier may differ from what you are used to seeing, but they have been spawning successfully for decades, so they must be stripers. We have hybrids (striped bass x white bass) in our TVA lakes and they have to be stocked. Look quite different from the fish in this video.

Absolutely not allowed here in MT! Gamefish as bait? Not allowed. Some parts are ok, as laid out in the regs. Interesting to see the differences between different areas.

The Lake Lanier watershed is stocked with rainbows, browns and brookies, and the bait trout come from those same hatcheries. Lanier used to be a stellar lake for catching lake-locked trout,, until the stripers ate them up. The Chattahoochee River flowing out of Lanier is still an outstanding trout fishery flowing right through Atlanta.

Darcizzle, Puddin, Now were talking. Stripers on Rainbow Trout. Prayers sent for Megan and Her Husband . There is a Lake Here in Pennsylvania , Raystown Lake where all you use are Trout. Rainbow,Brown,Brook. Catch Huge Stripers.40+ pounders. Also use live alewife.. Prayers for Darci,Brian,Conner,Megan always and Erin and Her baby. God bless

States make their own fishing regulations. Those trout are raised in captivity for bait purposes so I am sure that has a lot to do with it.
