Hope other businesses can flourish in Africa by harnessing solar power. It’s one of their resources.

Using solar power is probably the smart way of growing plants properly and even healthier for the environment.

It's good to have a co2 neutral flower farm, but I still think having the flowers transported by air freight will add a lot of co2. I hope Airbus are working on that part of the problem.

It is a lesser cost then that of maritime or freight. But still a supply chain needlessly complex, yes.

Kenya seems to have a lot of sun. I think solar panel works well there. But not here in northern England...

Solar power combined with battery storage is a great option. One thing people forget is that you don't need a gas backup generator. Many people install those and never think about a payback. There is none. With solar and batteries you save money every month and have backup power.

Which country made the solar panels for this Kenya project? It's from Germany?

Around 70% of the world's panel manufacturing comes from China in 2019 according to industry estimates. Probably no Change to now.

I think so, the solar system price is much lower than before. This investment is popular here in China, most of the power is sold to grid. I have to say that, use German solar system, it takes 9 years to reture investment; use Chinese solar system, the time will be much shorter.

we always have solar energy until the end of the world

Haha but then no grid energy will work either. I'd think solar would be better than traditional power in that situation, unless nuclear winter
