Using Soundflower and Kontakt for Sampling and Manipulating Audio

The kontakt section is actually relevant to both Windows and OSX users, it's well worth checking as it features Time Machine and not many people are aware of its power. Head to around 6:15 for the Kontakt stuff.

Wouldn't recording sounds off of you tube or anywhere on the internet and using them in your own projects be copyright infringement or something along those lines? I mean, is it legal to use the material for private or commercial use??

Soundflower is Mac only. Look it up.

When i do this my result is so low level. Like -24dbfs. Whats wrong?

I've been doing this for years with total recorder! Records any stream your soundcard is playing. Doesn't route to the daw tho.
