How many times have you been told to "Support more!" or "Use your diaphragm" ? Do you know what that means? Do you know how to do it? Can you do it? Support can be key to solving lots of problems in our playing but understanding the mechanics of this can be tricky. In this video I hope to give you clear information on how this works so that you can improve your practice.

I haven’t heard an explanation like this since Vancouver in 72’ , it works very effectively, in teaching the body and mind/ subconscious different movements. When it becomes instinctively non thinking, things flow 🎼

Hello Janet - Remember that you are developing the correct playing muscles and that it won't happen in one go. 4hrs is a lot of playing - brilliant determination but, unless you have built up to this amount of practice, it's likely that your muscles will have fatigued by the end of the practice session. I would definitely recommend doing smaller, focussed amounts of practice regularly. There could be other things going on too - it would be worth having a look at your embouchure to make sure that you are not losing air. Also working on the air direction for each register will allow you to use less air. Did you try the breathing exercises from this video kzbin.info/www/bejne/rKGplKNtZt6Xiqc ? Good luck! 😃
