I know this is an older video, but, man, I cannot thank you enough for showing a thorough explanation of the undo brush. It is *not* intuitive at all. I could not get it to work and couldn't figure out what I was doing wrong. It was making me so frustrated I wanted to scream. But your explanation finally helped me figure it out. Thanks so much.

I sure enjoy your videos. I am always happy when I see one of your tutorials on my UTube subscription page. By the way I am working through your new how to book on affinity. It is helping a lot. Your two Affinity books are one of the main reasons I purchased Affinity.

This is very interesting, and very powerful. Can it be applied only within a selection?

If you mean can you make a selection to restrict the brush, yes.

That some nice work with Viveza. In reality, I would probably just mask it out and the paint back in what I wanted, but it's good to learn about optional ways. Thanks for sharing
@RobinWhalley3 жыл бұрын
Yes, I also usually would mask something like this but it's worth understanding the Undo Brush. You never know when it will be useful. Great to hear you liked the Viveza work.

I learnt a lot about tools from this but I'm not sure my brain kept up very well

It seems complicated at first but it just takes a little experimentation and practice. Give it time and you will come up with ways to use it.

You are a wealth of information on Affinity Photo sir. My Nik Collection is presently set up to work with LR6. Is there a way it could also be set to work with Affinity Photo at the same time as the LR6?
@ianyorke26173 жыл бұрын
You need to enable unknown plugins in AP preferences. Then tell AP where the NIK plugins are located. Restart and they will be available in AP.
@RobinWhalley3 жыл бұрын
Yes you can do that but as Ian says you will need to set up the location of the plugins in the Affinity Preferences. Here's a video where I explain how to do this kzbin.info/www/bejne/gWa7XpJtnMR5fKs

Hi Robin. I note that you are using NIK with a merged Affinity file. I can only use mine when they have been exported as Jpg and reopened in Affinity in that format? Any thoughts please?
@RobinWhalley3 жыл бұрын
So, I have no idea. If you are using a DxO version of Nik I would report it as a bug for support. If you are using the old Google version then it's likely a compatibility bug.

Yes, some people find the brush easy and masking hard whilst others find masking easier and the brush hard. If you try it out with a few images you will probably pick it up quite easily.
