Wow though us keyboard players have lots of switches pads and wheels on our controllers, like I have a Arturia KeyLab mkll, max foot momentary and expression is around two. This will allow so such midi control for units like keytars controlling an ipad or computer apps/vst. Via usb midi! Very cool! Thanks for this Richie!

This video is very well done and very helpful to understand operation of the controller app. I'm pretty sure I've got that part right. Thanks. I know you can't explain how to use every daw out there, but I'm using cubase 12 pro and it's recognizing my controller (midi in/out) in studio setup, but not having any luck with the pedal 'learning' process. Also, every time I turn off live logic or the app, I have to reprogram and send values to the pedal again. Any obvious ideas on what dumb things I might be missing without having to go into Cubase specifically?

Hey! I could use some help with an issue I got with the Blackstar Live Logic. Ok, so I've been using it directly in Logic Pro to be able to change to different channel strips, which includes different types of guitar VSTs (I usually switch between STLTones Tonehub and NeuralDSP). My problem though, is that I can't figure out how I can get each button (from 1-6) on the pedalboard to switch directly to a channel with the corresponding number. The only thing I'm able to do is changing to the next channel strips and to the the previous channel strips in Logic Pro, but not any way to control six channels with an individual button on the pedalboard. Using it directly in the VSTs I got doesn't work well as it clips every time I change a preset. I've also had some problems with using an expression pedal connected, as it doesn't really seem to work as it should (I want to use it as a volume pedal to control the master in Logic Pro, and would also want to be able to use it with wah-pedal-VST's). Hope anyone's got a solution! I've had this thing for years and use it all the time, but I don't really think I'm using it to the max! Hi . I just bought the Live logic midi foot controller . I'm facing an issue . Whenever I am midi mapping any of the buttons on live logic foot controller to any parameter on the Ableton Live , as soon as I let go of the button on the foot controller , the parameter on Ableton Live turns off. It only stays on till the time I am pressing on the button of the foot controller , even though all the settings on the software are exactly the same as mentioned in almost every tutorial online . Please help

Have you set it to toggle mode? Also try putting 127 as both min and max value. Hope it helps

may I ask a question. I am assuming that each button set is specific to that Helix preset, so that when I send it to device that is recorded....on another preset in Helix it will do what I customise it to do.........so they are preset specific and not global across all.......because the blocks will be different....not a huge midi brain....and think I am right but just checkn. Thanks for this helpful video! Is there any way to set the MIDI learn global, somehow, so when you change a preset in Helix, that the footswitches still toggle the effect on and off (harmonizer, overdrive, reverb), etc? When a preset is changed, you have to MIDI-learn everything over and over again, even if you return to the first one you learned. Thanks!
