Using the ColorMFA in a MK4 Golf.

Short video showing some of the interesting features of the ColorMFA. Car is a VW MK4 Golf GTI 1.8T with an IMMO3 cluster. The MFA can also be used to read and reset error codes.

I have a 04 mk4 gti 1.8t I thought this option. Was for r32 or higher model cars. So your saying since mine only shows prnd432 and some other little lights I can use this cluster?

@Mr.Glass. It's a circuit board and screen that gets soldered into your existing cluster. I think it'll fit into other MK4 clusters. Visit the links for more info/instructions/to purchase.

Hi Gio Jo. I believe it will work, but I'm not an expert - I just installed one in my car. You'd also need to add a new stalk to control the ColorMFA. Maybe an external thermometer too? Visit the link in the description for instructions.

Does it have to be a gti, or it can be any mk4 also where r u controlling the display from, and would i have to copy the milage from my old cluster to the new one by a computer?

Not GTI specific. It's controlled by the original trip computer stalk. This is not a new cluster - it's a circuit board and screen that replaces the original screen. colormfa.ru/en/

Does the Horespower reading of the intrument cluster seem to be correct?

Hi Sigurd, My car is a 150HP 1.8T - engine code AGU. Car reviews at the time reported a 0-100 time of around 8.5 seconds. The ColorMFA gets very close to these numbers (146.5 HP / 8.3 seconds) so it looks pretty accurate to me. It should be perfect for troubleshooting and measuring the results of tuning.

Their website says that it's possible. Mine was set to metric, so I didn't need to change anything.

Its the original cluster that came with my GTI. I added chrome rings from an Audi TT and replaced the 1/2 height trip computer with the colormfa. I haven't ever swapped a cluster. It's possible, but do some googling to see what you're up against.
