Monoprice Easel Style Speaker Stands are great to whoever lives in the USA and are a cheaper alternative to The great italian solid steel stand and like alike

How did you attach speakers? I want to be able to move my ls50s around but I’d like to have them fixed when i wanted. Wish more people made like plate mechanisms like you get on cameras

I had the Quad S2 and upgraded to the Quad Z1 and never looked back. If you think S2 is nice. Z1 soundstage and refinement is on a whole lot of different level. Look forward you reviews on the S2 and maybe the Z1. These speakers need more PR, they really very under-rated. i am pairing them with the Musical Fidelity M6i and Denafrips Pontus!

I know this is an old video but have you had a chance to use the Ultimate Support MS90/36 speaker stands? I’m debating on getting these stands because I cannot find a quality speaker stand that is of an adequate height (30-36 inches). I loved the look and feel of the Kanto SX26 stands. The 26 inch height made them useless to me.

I know that this is from 3 years ago, but will you make a comparison of the solid steel and Monolith Easel style speaker stands?

Love the SS7 stands. but it appears the company doesn't want to sell them. There's no links on their site that leads you to a purchase. You can look at pictures, but that's it.

Has anyone that's a welder contented on the steel stands? There's better welders than me, but from looking at their "unfinished" version, as well as the others - brazing the connection point is a weird choice, as that's a surface connection rather than actually being one solid piece. The actual brazing looked.... Kind of rough to be honest, least on the one I saw. The main Bonita about them seems to be the spike and bearing mounts.

Love the look of the solidsteel stands. Do they actually improve the sound noticeably over the monoprice stands? I have Arendal 1723 S monitors for the front sound stage. Thanks.

A number of reviewers are doing 60 second reviews, just too short to get good content out. Keep it up Jay.

I’ve had them for several years. They are great speakers. Very well built and heavy. The sound is sublime in my opinion.

whats with the spikes at the base of the stands? i have live in rented space so not allowed to be drilling and screwing holes in things, do we neeed to screw this in the ground or somthing ?

Can someone explain to me why audiogear prefers spikes and ball-bearing contacts rather than some kind of dampening material (eg: some kind of silicone blend)? Doesn't a hard contact point (regardless of wide/pointed) transfer more resonance than something thats dampened/decoupled?

I’ve been contemplating those white solid steel stands and JBL 4309 seems like a perfect solution for a small living room. But the KLH model come with stands and lower price 🧐🧐🧐

How much do the solid steel stands cost? I don’t see prices. Also do you use the Japanese walls just for ambiance, hiding wires, or do they help with sound in any way as well? I love the looks of them. Thanks Jay.

PRO TIP: If you fill your stands with cat litter, make sure it's fresh from the bag, and has not been used by kitty to do his kitty business.

Lol, I always tought that italian stands are some cheap stands for flowers. And they look like garbage, like tripod for camera, bleah... Not a chance in looks with decent audio stands, even those monoprice looks better.
