Your Flat Graver looks to have a slight bend to the left under the scope, does it have that? Very nice cuts! Does your flat graver have relief on the bottom? Enjoyed your video!

You can make one for under 65 dollar. KZbin "Shaun handmade engraving machine".

A friend who is a fitter and turner would be worth their weight in gold to assist in making air graver at a lower cost than usd1500 -2500 for the handpiece. Of course air is needed to drive it at extra $$$ but much cheaper than the fancy top noch gear costs

Nice work...i can hear by the knocking of your graver that it seems like you have yours turned down quite a bit more than i was taught..your approach seems a lot more forgiving. I think I'll turned mine down and see if i can be more controlled...question..what do you do about burrs that are kicked up..? Thanks for the video..I always enjoy watching someone who knows what their doing. Thanks again for the video.

This is an EnSet engraver. They are the most expensive and different to other engravers like the graver max. With the enset you can go as low as one single hit by itself at a time.

with a pneumatic engraver do you have to push the graver or just control the blade?
@allenl92147 жыл бұрын
trekranger depends on the kind of system.. some are foot controlled while some are activated by pushing palm.. both are very easy to handle and requires little to no puahing.. just control the graver speed up or slow down as you wish

First you need at least 5000 dollars lol
@venchilla966 жыл бұрын
not true actually, I got my engraving ball brand new for about 500 and gravers can be bought for a decent price if you are hand engraving. You can even find deals on ebay for some non GRS brand engraving balls.

Look up Shaun Hughes engraving he has videos showing how to make one from things you can buy on ebay for around 100 dollars. Even then though this is no cheap hobby.

Christian DeCamillis are there any systems that are around 100$? I am just new to engraving and I dont want to risk so much money at first
@mrchristian19549 жыл бұрын
Thank You. The tool is the Enset it is a pneumatic driven handpiece and controller that is used as an assist to your hand work. Unfortunately there are n systems in that price range. The best option is to look for something on the used market.
@timothypsaledakis86938 жыл бұрын
+Salvatore Rametta Look at 'Hand Push' engraving. A sharpening stone, a steel graver and a mayonnaise jar lid full of pitch to secure your work in can get you started.... Keep bandages handy as slips with push engraving often result in blood being drawn. Old time engravings were done this way, as there were not power tools hundreds of years ago....
@charlesbleile52826 жыл бұрын
That's correct but don't try hand pushing in hardened gun steel. That is where air powered gravers or hammer and chisel come in.
