Using the New AI Remove Tool in Photoshop 2025

Hi everyone, Steve here. The Remove Tool in Photoshop 2025 has three great new features. The biggest new feature is that it can now use generative AI, powered by Adobe Firefly, to replace unwanted areas with new AI-generated content, just like if you were using Generative Fill. The other new feature is Find Distractions, which is really two features in one. Find Distractions can instantly select and remove distracting people in your photos, and it can instantly remove wires and cables. I am unable to find the tool as I am still running my iMac on Ventura. I don't want to upgrade to Sierra as I have had issues with the upgrade.

Were you able to upgrade to Photoshop 2025, or are you still on an older version?

It should, since the Remove Tool has been around for several Photoshop versions. By default it's hiding behind the Spot Healing Brush in the toolbar. If you don't see it, go to the Edit menu, choose Toolbar, and then click Restore Defaults in the Customize Toolbar dialog. That should reset your toolbar to the default layout.
