Another great video Ivo! I was down to the whirlpool the other day Oct 18/18. I was using trout patterned little cleos and trout patterned spinners "I haven't found a stinger spinner in my area yet lol" but I managed to land 2 nice salmon

The joys of fishing.. A fish dinner..IMHO there's nothing like a fresh fish dinner and its far better then the frozen fish you find in restaurants and stores. We had freshly caught perch last night with home made cornbread hushpuppies.

sounds like a fantastic meal you had :)

...the Stingeye for sure will work - it's great!! I like the size #4 for salmon, but you can downsize the size, depending on which species you are seeking - good luck out there :)

Are you weighting your lines? Or just the lure?
@thundermistlures5 жыл бұрын
the Stingeye Spinner is already weighted, so you do not need to add any more weight...i fish the Stingeye Spinner just the way it is :) The size #4 weighs 3/4 oz. Good luck out there

Can you eat the salmon from Whirlpool?
@thundermistlures6 жыл бұрын
There is a free book - a guide to eating Ontario sport fish - just do a search for 'eating Ontario fish" and you will see it appear - it will advise you as to what you can eat, and how many meals per week you can eat them - it's a great book and great that its free as well :) As a general rule, the salmon in the whirlpool come in from Lake Ontario and the smaller ones are safer to eat :)
