Using the One Leaf NV400 InfraRed Torch

The 950 IR torch is a lot stealthier, as it admits very little visible red light. The only downside, is that is it doesn’t have the range of the 840 IR. It is certainly suitable for sub 12ft lb pest control, as it still gives you a good clear sight picture over 100 yards. 👍

Yes, the NV400 should work very well with the 950nm ir torch, as the Sony Starvis processor is so good you can still see detail enough with no ir light in starlight mode.

It has an 8 hour operating life. I would say bring spare batteries for the ir torch if used on full power over this time.

Is the emitted light visible to animals and waterfowl at night?

When used against rodents, they don't seem to notice even from 14 yards away.
