Using the Squarespace Point of Sale System with Square

Thank you. I’m still baffled as to why square POS doesn’t integrate with iCal and why Faire wholesale doesn’t integrate with squarespace. It’s mind numbing what I’ve had to do to create an event to provide links and QR codes then add it into squarespace then deduct inventory from squarespace etc. thank you for making this video.

Important note. You have to have the commerce plan in Squarespace. I just had the basic and took forever to figure out why it wasn’t working.

It took too long to figure out that Square and Squarespace are DIFFERENT. Ugh! I accidentally made a Square website and Squarespace website. How do I link the actually websites? I did the store payment suggestion in your video. (Thankyou!) I also downloaded the Squarespace app. I already had the Square app. The last thing I cannot figure out, is how to merge the two websites. My other google workspace domain is connected to both. Suggestions?

I didn't have to merge them. You just need to make sure they are connected via your Squarespace website (backend). You WILL need a commerce plan to use this resource. Also, you will need to make sure both are open when using your phone or tablet.

This is exactly how I've set up my POS for doing markets & events and it's a game changer as far as managing inventory all in one place. Curious if you've had any Apple Pay customers? The Square reader itself can take Tap to Pay /Apple Pay through the Square app, but every time I try to take Apple Pay while using Squarespace as the POS w/the Square reader it doesn't work. I've been looking for a work around and am curious if you've had this experience?

I haven't used the Apple Pay option. That is a great question. It might be something Squarespace needs to be made aware of.

Can I still use my Square POS to swipe credit cards?

You just need to connect your reader to swipe, insert, or tap. Your checkout screen states this when choosing either manual credit card entry or the cash option. :)
