Using the Vertex Tool to Edit Geometries (QGIS Advanced Data Editing)

Ah this brings memories for me when I did this for census data, one thing we did was to run topological checks after editing to make sure we didn't do anything wrong and left overlaps or gaps. Of course at that time in 2005 I was not using something so powerful as QGIS

We have come a long way since then 😀. I still miss having an easy way to fix topology in QGIS. The geometry checker plugin can do it but it’s very clunky.

Hey, is there any keyboard shortcut to add a new vertex without clicking the "+" icon on the polygon? I'm editing existing polygons and clicking the icon sums up for a lot of lost time
