Absolutely, it had the bad fortune of being released alongside TTGL (I think), so no wonder it had a rough time. I wouldn't be surprised if the artstyle also had an impact. I love it, it's very unique, but let's be honest: a lot of shows draw in audiences with moeblob designs.

This show is an absolute marvel. I love how it manages to capture the childlike playfulness and imagination with augmented reality. It adds interesting layers of mystery, urban legends and a sense of wonder for a modern age. I need to check out other works by the same guys, wonder how many hidden gems I have missed.

Definitely one of the most underrated anime in history, especially knowing that the dub was the last one Matt Greenfield directed.

It is October 2, 2024 Meta announced their version of augmented reality glasses and it is so close to this, im not even lying check out yourself!
