I watched parts of this video AGAIN!! I just can’t even begin to tell you how this project resonates with my soul!!! I’m a country girl who was displaced to Indiana almost 50 years ago. This natural, organic look takes me back to my roots where we’d make things out of nature: necklaces made from the berries of dogwood trees, glitter from crushed-up rocks, etc. I gotta stop texting or I’ll end up crying. Thank you so much for this tutorial. 😍😍

I’ve seen this type of binding on Pinterest a hundred times and liked the idea but only with your tutorial I got excited a plenty lot. On weekends I go for walks with audio books of my favorite authors and bring home beautiful twigs. Now I know why I have that collection. And I love the box of teabags, I have to start one for myself as well. Thanks for all the inspiration you plant with your charming tutorials.

This is a great way to bind a journal, thank you for reminding me about it . I first saw it years ago where the lady punched the holes first and used string to tie the twig and in another she used an elastic band , which meant you could easily replace the pages for new ones. Seeing it again makes me want to try it again! Xx

Thank you SO much! I want to make a birthday present for my mum and this is perfect. I'm so very burned out, and my head just can't make the book I wanted, but this is absolutely perfect and easy enough! I wanted to make her a book full of goodies to use for making card, and this would be great for gifting her a bunch of eco dyed papers and some of my teabags and the faux rice paper you also taught us. I will put a cute envelope with some washi stickers and a few dried flowers in it for her to use. Mum is going to be 73 and as she's into gardening, she's going to love this!!! 🖤🖤🖤

Greetings from New Zealand. That little tool you use to rough the edges with is a safety cutter for threads and yarn, used in place of scissors or snippers, mostly by hand embroiderers and knitter who travel a lot on public transport (you can take it on a plane), and by those who have - or are around - small children. It is like a portable version of the thread cutter on the back of a sewing machine. For anyone who might be wanting one, it can usually be found in the habidashery section of a store. I have a lovely vintage one, a round metal one with several different size notches around it, for different size threads - sewing, embroidery, and yarn. Cheers. 😊

Wonderful tutorial. Love the look of nature in the journals. I think that black tool is a thread cutter used for sewing. The thread you want to cut slides into the V and the blade cuts it. Similar designs are often used in small embroidery kits so you don't have to deal with carrying scissors.

Such fun, could use leaves to embellish and decorate too, would go really well with the branch, or even pieces of bark, dried grass or straw. Pressed flowers or seed heads would look pretty and add to the country feel. So many possibilities 👏🏼👍 thankyou again Natasia, must pop out and see what I can find in the garden - although it's a bit wet and miserable here today, so might wait until it's dryer 😳 Love n hugs from Victoria in England 👍👏🏼😘🇬🇧💐
