The fastest way to become an effective guard passer by John Danaher

good one as always. I heard danaher talk about the main goal of making massive impmrovements in a comparable short amount of time. I have the gordon ryan passing instructional from 2019 which is REALLY in depth. I work on it since like two years. Do you see like a quicker road for improvement with this new danaher-one (straight to the point). I really like the gordon ryan one it is like a encyclopedia with all the informatios. I m curious on your take about it

Yes I would say it's a fast track to improvement. However, I was thinking about this in the context of a complete beginner the other day, it's difficult to grasp the core concepts without having first studied the new wave dvd because it starts with general principles and goals. This instructional starts with a general path which cuts out a lot of content but focuses on the most important stuff. I really enjoy Gordon's dvds however what I found over the last year was that it's difficult to understand the context of positions and problems with out having been there. That said after watching the Danaher dvds, sparring, running into problems, watching Gordon's dvds, I could put into context what he means when he's discussing his clips and techniques.

Do you recommend this new passing insteuctional over the new wave no gi passing instructional?
@BjjDrillers11 ай бұрын
I think there's a lot more breadth in the original one. There are a hand full of moves and extra details on certain passing sequences but other then that, the original one goes through it all. This new one has refined details on plow Passing, tripod Passing and pop up passing some content that I wanted some clarifications on.

what stops them from locking closed guard as you stand up
@BjjDrillers8 ай бұрын
I don't think there's much, but then closed guard itself is another path you would need to fight through. I've found that people who are really good usually know how to deal with closed guard before it gets locked up
