Thank you Charles! It was a wonderful tutorial that produced a truly lovely painting. Finding this particular lesson that mixes two mediums--both watercolour and acrylics--solved the problem I could foresee when mentally planning the picture I hoped to achieve for a friend who has asked me to paint a scene of her prairie childhood home. Since I have only produced one watercolour picture in the past I am just a tad anxious (now less so after watching your tutorial). I must get on with it as she hopes to be able make copies of my painting and send them off to her siblings for her Christmas present. A crazy scheme to be sure, based on my novice status. But, being the fun friend that she is when looking at my first painting I suddenly became the "talented artist" in her eyes. I laughingly took on the challenge as I have always harboured a desire to paint. You truly are a godsend! Thank you truly for sharing your wonderful talent and gifted teaching style. Santa Charlie, you are our Christmas miracle!

Another amazing video (and painting) from Mr. Evans. I love his no nonsense 'technical terms' I can actually understand what he means. Maybe it's because I'm a fellow Yorkshire lad. Also, with these tutorials I don't feel cheated. When you see some artists work and then you watch their tutorials, there is a huge drop in quality/skill, call it what you will. However, with these tutorials when they are finished they could easily go into a gallery or be sold. They are that good. There is no drop off or difference in quality. I absolutely love Mr. Evan's work and these tutorials are so helpful. Thank you so much.

I have had a go at this scene myself following this video and the use of both Watercolour and Acrylics is a fantastic idea I love it. Once again an amazing demonstration I have become a massive fan during the pandemic.. Learnt so much and have even purchased your brilliant pocket book for watercolour artists, I would recommend it to anyone, it is fantastic reference tool and bible. The four set of brushes you use are amazing, I have never had such a fine set of tools and I am now applying much richer colours to my paintings as you have given me the confidence to have a go. Thank you again Sir for your time, energy, enthusiasm and ease of demonstration, I have recommended you to all my friends and continue to thoroughly enjoy and love your art and videos. Thank you for being an inspiration to so many and for taking your time to do these demos!! KEEP SAFE and WELL SIR!

I love the way you are using acrylic on top of water colours ,I always find water colours hard to mix , and acrylics easier and of course the use of white acrylics can be used I'm 74 and just learning it certainly makes sense, and your splendid painting speaks for itself

Mr Evans thank you for a superb painting of the snow scene. There are a few points that you made that I can now see where I have gone wrong so thank you. Hopefully these points will help me improve my watercolors, I tend to be to conservative and do not relax in to the painting. Watching your style and technique is inspiring, thank you.

Another very enjoyable demonstration. Glad to see the mix of watercolor and acrylic. Will have to try this one soon. I’ve watched several of your videos and in the back of my mind, “what is the little part of these that makes them so endearing?” Well I’ve concluded (for myself) that the coordinated palette that you use for these landscapes tends to have a smoky sort of quality that triggers something memorable from the past, very nice. Well thank you for presenting this, very good.
