Honestly I could not see this ever becoming a remotely meta team. It requires so much setup and knowledge of game states/win conditions that only a really skilled player could use it to its full potential. The same thing happened when a bunch of people picked up perish trap after Wolfe won the Orlando regionals last year and realized there are much easier and more consistent strategies.

Meowstic instead of clefable for a different mode, because it's the only skill swap user with prankster, so you have a way higher chance of getting that first swap, plus then golurk gets prankster, and can set a screen with prankster, then if golurk has eject button, (it often gets targeted, people hate dynamic punch) it swaps out, and your meowstic can hit skill swap turn 2 before laprass, and by turn 2 you have the setup with a screen.

Hey! Fun thing about the Shed Shell item: holding it allows your Mabostiff (or Drednaw or Roaring Moon) to still switch out after trapping an opponent Jaw Lock. Once you switch out however, the trapping effect goes away on the other mon too, but if you use it with perish song and switch out the last turn, it 100% KOs em. 😅 Or if they dont realize they are actually free to switch out once you do, that has happened a few times too. Can be lots of fun ❤

@@jerseys89finest Lapras lacks physical ice coverage unless you go loaded dice icicle spear. Ice shard priority is nice but not that strong. On the special side you have far better options with freeze dry/ice beam/blizzard. Yes you don't have a special set up move but lapras isn't really built to set up and sweep with the stat spread it has.

This team was wild. When I first saw the stream thumbnail I knew I had to see this inevitable perish trap team, but no guard sheer cold was something I never would have expected. Was seriously hoping he would win with this but it is what it is. I’m just glad I can terrorize max rank with this now 😈😈 Edit: just read description and am now sad to wait longer.
