Using your Overlocker/Serger. How To: Change Colours on a Threaded machine

I still remember you teaching me how to do this after purchasing my overlocker from your store in Henry St decades ago now. It also came in super handy as there was a misprint with the numerical order of the steps in the users manual. 😊

Thank you So Much for All of your perfectly easy tips!! I love your Australian accent :)! I have owned a Singer Finishing Touch Differential Feed for several years now and have as yet been able to get it to run as it should. The thread doesn't intertwine in the tail as it should after over-locking the fabric. I would Greatly appreciated it if you would give a tutorial on how to thread and sew on your singer over-lock. You truly are a Great Teacher! Thank you for sharing :)!!

What is the make and model of the Heavy duty overlocker in the link above (link to your video). Can it serge denim?

I had the same question. I spoke to a Singer Sales Rep.. she stated that, this Heavy Duty Serger is the same as the Singer Pro Finish it's an upgraded model and it has a Larger Cutting knife. So It may be a good choice for denim.

@@IEXECUTIVE It is the Singer 14HD854 Heavy Duty Serger, which is essentially the same as the Singer 14SH754 but with a metal frame and larger cutting knife. I have serged denim with my 14SH754, so I don't see why you couldn't do it with this model as well.

Do you sell that particular brand of thread and what are the smaller cones of thread you removed from the overlocker please

The smaller cones that she removed come with the serger when you purchase it, they are pre-threaded. It is a thin, cheap thread that they use to ensure the stitch is set upon purchase. You can use them to troubleshoot when you need to see what's going wrong with your project, just change out the colors in their original position and then consult the manual to see how to adjust.
