After the USMC band I hardly give Five farts in Florida about the rest of the parade. Except for the Salvation Army Band, nothing of any consequence. The parade used to be so much better…..what happened?

Hi Music 213, John Phillips Sousa was once the Musical Director of this Band. He retired and started his own, successful civilian band. I'm hoping that the O-VILS Entertainment Group will be as successful too or more so.

Only two military bands in the US are not fully combat trained: The US Marine Band in Washington, DC, and the US Coast Guard Band at New London, CT.

Those announcers always seem to do that. Heavily scripted and pushing for commercials. They never pause to enjoy the moments that they are witnessing. Do you hear me Al Roker of 2018?

Nothing but great respect for the Marines - HOWEVER - they need to start giving credit where it is due; such as the fact that more men were lost by the U.S. Army Air Corp in WW2 than were lost over the whole history of the Marines.

@@mcmneverreadsreplys7318 Tragically, lives were lost by all branches. They all deserve our respect. I don’t see how the U.S. Marines could single out the losses of another service. If you put on a uniform you have my respect. I don’t draw a line of where your tour of duty was. I had my 4 years in.
