I think UW is better and with limited time, I think time should be focused first on UW

thank you so much for this valuable information ... How much do you have to score in step3 if you are taking it before residency ( before applying and matching ) to be safe ? also does programs know your score or they only see the results as pass or fail ? .. thank you !

Yes I think they would know your score. It depends on the program and the specialty. I think over 240 would be great.

Well explained. I just got one doubt. I gave my CK before 4 months. I am sitting for interviews now. I wanna give step 3 by match season (march). So my question is.. is it possible to prepare and give this exam in 6 to 8 weeks? Or how much time is required actually to prepare for this? Thanks

Can one take break of 2-3 years between step 2 Ck and Cs if he doesn't have the means to take tests consecutively? Secondly, step 1 and 2ck are mostly theory related and there are alot of resources available for them, but what to do for CS and step 3. I mean US system is very different. How can one gain clinical exposure (especially one who can't afford US rent)?

Better to do them without significant gaps. Clinical rotations in the form of electives or observerships can help.
