After that first goal, Uzbekistan played really well right until the end when their defense got pretty flimsy and USA won 3-0. Not a bad scoreline but we definetly could've done much better. The absence of Gregg Berhalter was absolutely amazing during our time in CONCACAF Nations League Cup. But still a win is a win.

I don’t know what to make of this team yet. Love that we possess the ball, our midfielders set the tempo and open up the space with their runs. But it almost seems like we don’t take advantage enough with the ball in the final third. We’re too comfortable. We don’t demand chances as frequently as we could. Our wings are solid, but sometimes they wanna hold up play, take the 1v1, miss the opportunity to run, and drop back (which is fine) but the chance is usually gone by then. Jedi’s crossing and overlaps are spot on. Use it on that left side more often and allow pulisic a deeper role to cut inside instead of at the end line, short of space.

What are some of you talking about? Gregg took us back to the World Cup , we got out of the group, and won Gold Cups and Nations League titles on the way. When he took over, the program was at the lowest it had been in decades. Anyone that criticizes Gregg and his rehiring hasn’t been a fan long enough to live the lows of the USMNT. Give him another cycle (unless it is going horrendously) to try to take the program higher. If that doesn’t work, look elsewhere. He’s earned the time.

What the heck was that??? A team and game we should have absolutely crushed. Instead, the worst performance of the year. Back to a lifeless 4-3-3 with no way of creating with a #9 that has significant ability. Uzbekistan had more shots and to make it worse were playing with a man down (towards end). Is Gregg not capable of seeing his system of 433 DOES NOT WORK? Did he pay attention to what happened when Tillman came in and they switched to a 4-2-3-1?Creativeness in the central midfield is what suits this team. Berhalter 2.0 a MASSIVE failure! All he had to do was bring back what BJ and Hudson did.

To be frank, the fact Uzbekistan had more shots despite lack of possession showed that we could have done better. Unfortunately lacklustre strikers were blamed for this loss. Shomurodov was Uzbekistan’s only true strikers whereas the Americans weaponised chances better. Not sure about Mexico game though. The Mexicans are far more problematic than USA.

@@PosyaKisa I don't think you get to understand the reality. Some of the best footballing nations aren't Europeans at all. Central Asians have geographical problems. Kazakhstan's delusion of becoming UEFA has been achieved in 2002, but since then, for what? The reason that forced Kazakhstan to hang out with Europe is because they want to play with nations deemed as "superpowers" such as France, Belgium and Germany. This is also what influenced many Central Asians, including Uzbeks (whom I have witnessed them when I was in Turkey for a trip), due to their countries being formerly Russian/Soviet colonies and historical affiliation to UEFA. But Brazil, Argentina, Uruguay and even Mexico and the USA aren't Europeans. They're not at all.
