Fremm - We deceive ourselves. You don't change all the gear and keep it the same ship. Just look between French and Italian designs. - CODELAG vs CODELOG - Different Gensets (The French one uses MTU 4000s closer to what ours will use) - Different Length, beam, and Draft - Different Gun - Different VLS count - Different ASM - Different hangar arrangement - Aft CWIS gun vs nothing - Along with much else....... Even more conservative example. Our FRC had to be souped up compared to the basic Damen patrol boat used in close to a dozen other naval forces. But what about Sumner/Gearing or Spruance/Kidd/Tico. They all started and finished with the same country's gear and standard specs. Know the enemy and know yourself.
