Always sweet to relive my Vietnam Days. I was in this crowd and saw it again in 1971. The one joke I remember from that show was Bob's...."Welcome to Long Binh, short for How Long Has it Been".

On Christmas Eve Myself and 3 other Instructors with our Dogs were sent over to Long Binh to clear the Ampitherather for Midnight Mass and then were told that we had to be back to clear it out again for the Bob Hope Show. We slept on the stage that night and cleared the area and were sitting on the stage when Bob Hope came over to us. He could not believe that we did that for him and his troupe. He put 2 of us with our dogs right up front and had them bring us water for our dogs and food for us. He then told his Cameraman to make sure that they got our pictures. When he came out He told the crowd about us sleeping there all night. You can see us at 2:42 of the show. I am the one with the White German Shepard Queenie. I told my family back home that they may see me on the Bob Hope Special. My Family told everyone to watch for me. Sure enough Mr Hope kept his promise.
