O'hara doesn't seem to get the respect she deserves. She has pace, she has amazing versatility, she has a good game head, and she is always in the mix. So underrated in the overall team dynamic.

It's because she's been positioned as a defender in the USWNT for quite a while, which she isn't natural at. She played more of a midfield role in this game and that brought her more up top where she shines.

Crystal Dunn is literally a weapon for the WNT. She's amazing. She's created a lot of plays and opportunities for them.

I like that Press seems to be doing so well right now. Goals and assists in both games. It seems that she has a good place in the current lineup. I think that having so many weapons like Williams and Lloyd in the offense and the ability of Dunn to scrub off defenders will let her shine. Her ability to pull the ball down, turn her hips, and pull the trigger has no equal. She can move at good clip too.

Sickest thing I have seen in a long while. In the past, part of me didn't like her much. But that has changed in the last few years. Her game is becoming more complete. She is so damn good and scary dangerous.

The Akh because when it was under Pia and Tom she was more a defensive and distributive player in the center. Now she has more freedom to attack which makes her dangerous

Exactly, I don't know if you guys remember the the last WC when Llloyd was struggling like crazy the first couple games, and everyone was saying she has completely fallen off. Then, she was moved to attacking mid and looked like a completely different player. WC Final scores 4 goals, and completely changes the mentality of what people thought of her play in the WC. Since then, she has stayed in that spot and has always had a flair for coming through in big moments, and scoring long goals with precision.

Anybody notice how much more often Heath has been open in a scoring position in the last few games? I think that might be because the midfield is more solidified and Dunn is dragging so many defenders around. I know Heath has good ball skills, but I don't think she is very accustomed to the opportunities (she led the league in assists this year). It will be exciting to see how that plays out.

You don't really have control over it, just try and get your hands behind the shot so it doesn't go in. Harris does a good job and even parries the follow up shot, just not enough. It is just a really good play by Switzerland.

canebro1 - I take it maybe you have not played keeper before but its more than just "blocking shots" - if you cant hold a shot on goal you are trianed to push it away from the center of goal as to not create another immediate scoring opportunity for the opposition. Had she pushed the shot to either her left or right, she wouldnt have had to make the second save. No the goal isnt the end of the world but replacing Hope is a big deal. If she isnt up to the task someone else will.

I honestly don't think Naeher would've made that error. She catches the ball much more than Harris does and even if the shot was too powerful to handle, I'm pretty sure Naeher would've pushed it across the goal like I've seen her do many instead of pushing it out into play like Harris did.

kinda wish Kelley would get more goals in, both games with Switzerland had her open opportunities for goals but missed. :( she should do more work defensively then so she keeps her spot. Hopefully Alex gets more technical with the ball so she can pair up better with Christen, Crystal, Lynn or Arod, Hope Arod becomes more technical too.

I know I am not going to win any fans with this, but I don't miss her at this point. This offense is so dynamic. Right now Lynn Williams is the better player, and her performance in the NWSL this season was stellar. Press is looking better than ever, and had some of the most impressive goals during the NWSL season. Dunn is cutting it up in a way Alex can't and she is springing so many other players as a result. Lloyd is really maturing and becoming a more complete player, and is without question, the most dangerous forward in the world. I don't miss Krieger, Kling, Rapinoe or Hope either. I thought I would, but I don't. Krieger is too one dimensional. Kling is not physical enough to play at this level anymore. She gets bodied off the ball too easily. Rapinoe needs to get her head back into the game. Hope....well whats to say there. These are all exceptional players and it's not that they don't have a roll, or can't contribute...I think they all can. It's just the the NWSL has done what it is supposed to do; which is to expose fresh talent. The USWNT needs this because the rest of the world is catching up.

There is a plenty of good reason for Harris to play. there are 2 backups on this team and the 3rd string never gets to play except in practice. Also, the league doesn't pay the players unless they play in the game.

she's been in both YOUTH AND SENIOR National team for so long dating as far back as 1999 as youth and 2009 as senior... She just had her first cap in against Sweden 2013 and ended in 1-1 score. THERE is a REASON why she hasn't earn her first cap during those year. and there is also a reason why she shouldn't be a first or second choice for the GOALKEEPER position.

I would like to see O'Hara play a better. Two goals kicked way over, with one practically given to her. Then a nasty hit in the box that was unnecessary. She needs a better technical game. A lot of talent there, but just needs a little more technical work.

It is a very new roster than that was called up from a few months ago. Heather O'Reilly retired from the national team, Solo got suspended, and Ellis decided now to try out new players like Andi Sullivan (Stanford) and a couple of good NWSL players like Lynn Williams and Abby Dahlkamper (WNT Flash) just to name a few as there are 11 uncapped players called into that camp. Ellis also gave the icons of WNT like Alex Morgan a break.

Don't worry. It's just the cream rising to the top! There are so many extremely talented payers to pool from. In the past, the top players have been far too entrenched. The players essentially ran the program in a sense. But now the power has shifted to coaching staff, and that is for the better. So the face of the USWNT might be changing, but it is a needed change to keep the team viable and competitive going forward.
